4 Predictions for Business Travel in 2017

We aren’t fortune tellers, but we do love a good prediction at Stride Limo. This is especially true when it comes to the latest business travel predictions for 2017. This year is well under way at this point, but we still see the future of business travel evolving as the year progresses, and we strive to keep up with the ever-changing needs of our business travelers from our airport transfer in New York to our limo service in Brooklyn and everything in between. Our goal is to make sure your clients get what they need, and we hope to surpass your expectations in every manner possible. While we don’t predict the future at Stride Limo, we like to help you predict your business travel future will be productive.

Shorter Itineraries

With the rising cost of fuel and the seemingly ever increasing cost of everything else, we predict business travel is going to turn into a series of much shorter trips. A conference that might typically last a full week will become one you attend nonstop for two days to cram it all in and get what you need. Your boss wants to keep travel prices low, and the best way to do that is to only keep you out of the area for as little time is needed to attend courses.

More Productive Travel

When your boss or company is paying for you to attend a business function out of town, it must be productive. We foresee many companies working hard to send their employees off on trips that handle every potential aspect of the business in that area of the country at once. Rather than sending you to a new city three times this year, we predict you’ll go once and do three times what you’d normally do while out of town to make your trip more productive.

More High-Tech Travel

Wearable technology is changing the face of the business travel game, and we have a feeling it’s going to continue to do so. If you don’t already have wearable tech in business, you’ll get it this year. Airports are quickly upgraded to ticket scanners that allow you to stick your wrist beneath the scanner to use your watch instead of a boarding pass, and they’re also providing more outlets, more charging stations, and more travel ease for those who spend a lot of time on the road for business.

Less Hotel Loyalty

In the past, companies created long-lasting relationships with hotels and specific companies, but that’s a thing of the past. As discount travel sites make it far easier to book a hotel room that’s almost half the asking rate with the resort, many companies will forgo their corporate allegiances to other companies in favor of choosing what’s best at the moment.

Business travel is ever-changing, and what’s hot right now probably won’t make a difference this time next year. We like to stay ahead of the game, though, so we can provide for you the best we can. Our company prides itself on customer service, and it begins with us and ends with you.
